The fashion industry is notoriously demanding on our planet's resources. When we started Koana Closet, we knew we couldn't just add to the noise. We needed to fundamentally rethink how our garments were sourced, spun, and sewn.
Our philosophy is simple: Every piece should leave the world better than we found it. That means moving away from resource-intensive synthetics and embracing innovative, natural alternatives that nourish the skin and the soil.

The magic of Seaweed Fabric.
Nature's most regenerative resource, woven into your daily wardrobe.
In our search for the perfect sustainable textile, we looked to the ocean. Our signature fabric is a revolutionary blend of organic cotton and Icelandic seaweed. Seaweed is a zero-input crop—it requires no fresh water, no land, and no pesticides to grow. In fact, it actively regenerates the ocean ecosystems where it's harvested.
But the benefits don't stop at the environment. Seaweed is naturally rich in vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. When woven into our textiles, these nutrients interact with the natural moisture of your skin, providing a soothing, anti-inflammatory effect. It's clothing that actually cares for you.

Small batch. Zero waste.
Creating on demand to eliminate the cycle of overproduction.
The traditional fashion calendar relies on mass production and planned obsolescence. At Koana Closet, we operate differently. We produce our collections in highly limited, small batches. This approach ensures that we only create what is actually desired, drastically reducing deadstock and textile waste.
Every scrap of fabric left over from our cutting room floor is collected and repurposed into new yarns or used in our internal upcycling programs. Nothing is thrown away. Everything is reimagined.
Designed for Circularity.
When you are finally done with your Koana piece, we take it back. Through our (Renew) program, we ensure that every garment is properly recycled, composted, or given a second life.
